NO SC Requirement – Good to have

The ideal candidate will facilitate and coach agile practices, support iterative development, and ensure that our Scrum framework is well understood and enacted. As a Scrum Master, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to foster a collaborative environment, remove impediments, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: Organize and facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Ensure that all ceremonies remain focused, productive, and within the timebox.
  • Coach Agile Practices: Educate and coach teams on agile practices, principles, and values. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and self-organization.
  • Remove Impediments: Proactively identify and resolve impediments that may hinder the team's progress. Collaborate with stakeholders to address issues beyond the team’s control.
  • Ensure Transparency: Maintain clear communication channels within the team and with external stakeholders. Ensure transparency of team progress and status using tools like burn-down charts, and progress trackers.
  • Support Product Owner: Assist the Product Owner in maintaining a well-defined product backlog. Help with refining and prioritizing tasks, ensuring clarity and alignment with business objectives.
  • Promote Collaboration: Encourage collaboration among team members and across different teams. Foster an environment of trust and respect, facilitating open communication and healthy conflict resolution.
  • Enable Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement by encouraging feedback during retrospectives and implementing actionable improvements. Track and measure the impact of changes to ensure effectiveness.
  • Quality Focus: Emphasize the importance of quality and ensuring that deliverables meet defined criteria and customer expectations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree: In Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Scrum Master Certification: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role within an agile software development environment.
  • Agile Practices: Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and Kanban.
  • Facilitation Skills: Excellent facilitation and coaching skills to guide team members and stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex organizational challenges.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to clearly articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Team Management: Experience working with cross-functional teams, with a strong emphasis on enabling team cohesion and productivity.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Scaled Agile Framework: Experience with scaling agile in larger organizations, and familiarity with frameworks like SAFe, LeSS, or Nexus.
  • Technical Acumen: Background in software development or technical roles, providing an understanding of development processes and technologies.
  • Advanced Certifications: Additional agile certifications such as CSP, PMI-ACP, or Lean Six Sigma.
  • Tools and Technologies: Proficiency with agile project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or Azure DevOps.

Personal Attributes:

  • Leadership: Inspiring and capable of leading teams to achieve high performance and delivery standards.
  • Adaptability: Flexible and adaptable in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Empathy: High emotional intelligence and ability to build strong relationships.
  • Initiative: Proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement and driving change.

Why Join Us?

  • We’re a purpose‑driven organisation committed to creating positive impact and championing inclusion.
  • You’ll join a culture that encourages innovation, collaboration, and continuous growth.
  • We celebrate difference and believe diverse perspectives lead to stronger solutions.
  • Even if you don’t meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply — great talent comes from a variety of backgrounds.
