How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager with experience of project delivery in the Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation sector to join a global market leader in water treatment, offering full and comprehensive product training, excellent remuneration package, and opportunities for career progression.

The Company – Site Manager, Water Treatment Projects

My client is a worldwide leader in water processing technology and are trusted by customers by a wide range of manufacturing sectors to provide the best and most reliable systems in the water treatment sector.

In this pivotal role, you act as the day-to-day business owner on-site, working in close partnership with the Project Manager to ensure successful project delivery. You provide essential site leadership, serving as the operational arm to the Project Manager to achieve project goals, while maintaining a functional reporting line to the Construction Manager. You hold total responsibility for driving the site programme, managing budgets, and ensuring our commercial commitments are met, while maintaining impeccable standards in safety and quality for all MEICA installations.

Onsite Project Management

* Liaise directly with the client to provide regular updates, address concerns, and ensure project alignment on MEICA-specific requirements.

* Manage the site programme to ensure all milestones are met and potential delays are proactively mitigated.

* Control site costs and project budgets by monitoring expenditure, optimizing resource allocation, and managing variations.

* Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and internal labour to maintain productivity across mechanical, electrical, and ICA workstreams.

* Manage the procurement of onsite materials and equipment in line with project timelines.

Onsite Health & Safety Management

* Oversee all onsite health and safety protocols to maintain a zero-incident environment.

* Act as the site representative for CDM regulations, always ensuring compliance.

* Foster a proactive safety culture, ensuring risk assessments and method statements are strictly adhered to, particularly concerning electrical and mechanical hazards.

Onsite Quality Management

* Monitor installation progress to ensure strict adherence to technical specifications, drawings, and industry best practices for MEICA works.

* Conduct thorough, systematic inspections of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation installations as work progresses.

* Maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS) on-site, including detailed installation records, test results, and ITP (Inspection and Test Plan) documentation.

* Verify that all installations are complete, tested, and compliant, providing the final formal sign-off to release the site to the commissioning team.

* Proactively identify defects or non-conformances, ensuring they are rectified prior to handover.

Your Background – Site Manager, Water Treatment Projects

Requirements & Qualifications

* Proven experience in a Site Agent or project management role within the construction industry, specifically within MEICA water projects.

* Strong understanding of construction methods, health and safety legislation (specifically CDM 2015), and WIMES.

* Excellent communication and negotiation skills for effective client and stakeholder management.

* Proficiency in project management software and scheduling tools.

* Relevant certifications (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, or equivalent engineering qualification).

* Results-oriented with a 'can do' attitude

Essential:
