TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary school in Cambridgeshire that is committed to providing a safe, well-maintained and positive learning environment for both students and staff. The school values teamwork and is looking for a dependable Caretaker to become an important member of the site team.
The school is looking to appoint a full-time Caretaker with an immediate start. The successful Caretaker will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and security of the school site, carrying out minor repairs, ensuring health and safety standards are met, opening and closing the premises, and supporting the smooth operation of the school throughout the day.
The successful Caretaker will have:
Previous experience working as a Caretaker, Site Assistant or Site Manager
Knowledge of health and safety procedures within a school or similar environment
Experience carrying out basic maintenance and minor repairs
The ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
Good communication and organisational skills
A proactive, reliable and flexible approach
