The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
Our client, a leading organisation in the defence and security manufacturing sector, is seeking a Subcontracts Manufacturing Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to ensure the seamless delivery of customer product orders through effective planning and supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure all customer product orders are delivered on-time and in-full (OTIF)
Plan product build demands in collaboration with production planners and project managers
Raise external requirements to build on subcontractors and suppliers, liaising with them to achieve OTIF delivery
Liaise with sales and programme management to ensure production plans are understood and communicated to the rest of the business
Work closely with the supply chain to ensure supplier delivery plans are in place
Negotiate with suppliers and manage their expectations
Job Requirements:
Experience in supply chain customer service and control
Strong planning skills within a manufacturing environment
Excellent communication and liaison abilities across different departments
Proficiency in subcontractor and supplier management
Understanding of the defence and security manufacturing sector
Ability to manage negotiations and effectively achieve desired outcomes
Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively and independently as required
