Smile Education is recruiting for enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to support a specialist school in Wolverhampton from the start of the new academic year. This welcoming and highly supportive school requires Teaching Assistants on a regular basis to cover staff absence, training courses, and to support a growing number of students joining the school throughout the year.

The RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced teachers and support staff within the classroom. Depending on the needs of the school, your responsibilities may include:
Supporting students on a 1:1 basis
Delivering small group interventions
Assisting with classroom activities and learning tasks
Promoting positive behaviour and engagement
Supporting students with communication, social and emotional development
Helping to create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environmentYou will be based within a class alongside multiple Teaching Assistants, providing excellent support and opportunities to learn from experienced colleagues.
We Are Looking For Candidates Who:
Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
Have experience working with children or young people, ideally within an educational setting
Have an interest in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
Are patient, caring and adaptable
Can work effectively as part of a team
Are confident using their own initiative when required
Are looking to gain valuable experience within education
