The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
On behalf of our Client, we are looking for a practical, reliable and safety-conscious Operations Technician.
This is a varied, hands-on role supporting the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the site, ensuring facilities remain safe, functional and well maintained.
Working as part of the Operations, Maintenance & Facilities team, you'll undertake a wide range of tasks, from winter maintenance and general site upkeep to supporting operational activities and assisting contractors.
This is a role that requires someone who enjoys working as part of a team and is willing to take on a wide range of operational and maintenance tasks.
No two days are the same, and full in-house training will be provided where required.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out operations, maintenance and facilities work as directed by the Operations, Maintenance & Facilities Lead.
Complete work orders safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Undertake winter maintenance activities, including gritting roads, paths and car parks.
Carry out general maintenance and handyman duties across the site.
Operate site vehicles and equipment where appropriately trained and authorised.
Support third-party contractors working on site, ensuring work is completed safely and in accordance with site requirements.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the facility.
Comply with all company Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and be willing to support a variety of operational tasks as business needs require.Skills & Experience
Valid forklift licence and experience
A practical, hands-on approach with good problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Flexible attitude with a willingness to undertake a wide variety of tasks
Strong commitment to safe working practicesDesirable
Banksman qualification or relevant experience
Experience operating tractors
Experience in operations, facilities or industrial site maintenance
General maintenance or handyman experience
Experience working within an industrial, engineering or manufacturing environment
