The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
Your new company
Our client is a growing and well-established manufacturing business with a strong international presence. Operating across multiple overseas locations, the company designs, manufactures and distributes specialist products to customers worldwide. Following continued growth and investment in systems, infrastructure and international operations, the business is seeking to strengthen its finance function with the appointment of a Finance Manager.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will take responsibility for supporting the day-to-day finance function while helping the business navigate its next phase of growth. Working within a collaborative SME environment, you will be involved in financial reporting, process improvement, business partnering and supporting a growing international operation.Key responsibilities will include management accounting, budgeting and forecasting, overseeing financial controls, supporting overseas entities and compliance requirements, driving improvements following a recent ERP implementation, and acting as a trusted deputy to the CFO. This is a broad, hands-on role offering significant exposure across the wider business.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will ideally be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, although candidates who are part-qualified or qualified by experience will also be considered. Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or senior finance position is essential.Manufacturing or product-based industry experience would be highly desirable, alongside experience working within a growing SME environment. Exposure to international operations, ERP systems and process improvement projects will be advantageous. You will need to be a proactive and hands-on finance professional who can operate effectively at both a strategic and operational level.
