The school have extensive grounds and a range of extra curriculum facilities for the children to utilise during their school day including rugby/football pitches, netball courts and activity areas for all.
The Primary School are looking for a proactive Teaching Assistant to work across their Foundation Phase on a temporary long term basis. The role would involve you working alongside the classroom teacher supporting them with the setup of activities, ensuring the environment is safe and tidy at all times whilst also building a rapport with the pupils to provide feedback for staff and parents. The successful candidate will need to express some experience working with children that have additional learning needs and will need to be prepared to work 1:1 with children that may require extra support. You will be expected to get stuck into the schooling life, keeping yourself busy and useful throughout the working hours of 08:30am – 15:30pm.
The successful Teaching Assistant / TA will have:
Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant / TA qualification or at least 6 months experience working within a classroom setting
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
A good ability to create valued relationships with pupils
Excellent communication skills
