Daily Rate: £168.80 – £215.68 per day (dependant on experience)
About the Role:
* Teach Design Technology across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
* Deliver engaging and practical lessons across a broad range of DT specialisms, including Engineering and Food.
* Plan, prepare and assess learning in line with the curriculum to support pupil progress and attainment.
* Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles.
* Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment that supports learning and participation.
* Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing clear feedback to support development.
* Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement and engagement.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to contribute to the wider success of the department and school.
* Follow school policies and procedures, including those relating to safeguarding and behaviour.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or an equivalent teaching qualification.
* Have experience teaching Design Technology at KS3 and KS4.
* Be confident delivering a range of DT subjects, including Engineering and Food.
* Have strong classroom management and communication skills.
* Be able to plan and deliver engaging, practical and theory-based lessons.
* Be committed to raising attainment and supporting students to achieve their full potential.
* Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
* Provide details of the latest two references, covering the last five years’ work history.
* Possess a current DBS check or be prepared to apply for one as part of your registration.
* Be willing to complete a face-to-face registration and satisfy several compliance checks.
