The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are working with a well-established and highly respected civil engineering contractor to assist them in hiring a Sub-Agent for their growing team in Aberdeen.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced civil engineering professional to join a busy and expanding business delivering a range of infrastructure and civils projects across the North East of Scotland. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. As the Sub-Agent your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Supporting the Site Agent with the day-to-day management of civils projects
* Coordinating site activities to ensure work is completed safely and on programme
* Managing subcontractors, labour, and plant on site
* Ensuring quality standards and health & safety procedures are maintained at all times
* Assisting with site documentation, reporting, and project planning
* Liaising with clients, engineers, and the wider project team
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:
* Previous experience working within a civil engineering environment
* Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and site procedures
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* The ability to manage workloads and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
* A proactive and collaborative approach with a strong attention to detail
