The Role – Office Manager
We are seeking an organised, proactive, and highly professional Office Manager to join a welcoming and supportive school in the Dudley area.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality operational and administrative support within education.
As Office Manager, you will play a key role in the smooth and efficient running of the school office, including attendance processes, administration systems, and the line management of office support staff. You will act as a central point of contact for pupils, parents, staff, and visitors, helping to maintain a positive and professional school environment.
The successful candidate will be a confident communicator with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the school office
* Oversee attendance administration and reporting processes
* Provide line management and support to administrative staff
* Act as the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and external agencies
* Maintain accurate school records and administrative systems
* Support health and safety and estate management procedures
* Ensure confidentiality and compliance with school policies
* Support the wider leadership team with administrative and operational tasks
The Successful Candidate Will:
* Be an enthusiastic, approachable, and professional team player
* Have previous experience within school administration or office management
* Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Be highly organised, proactive, and able to prioritise workloads effectively
* Have strong IT skills including Microsoft Office applications
* Be confident working within a busy educational environment
* Have knowledge of attendance systems, health and safety, and school procedures (desirable)
