Your new role
Undertake physical and mental health assessments and sign post/refer to primary care or appropriate secondary health care services for identified health issues.To undertake Nurse Alcohol Assessments and determine safe detoxification.Assist in the titration process for opiate service users.To provide screening for BBV, through dry blood spot testing.If trained - provide Hepatitis B vaccinations, undertake phlebotomy.Contribute to Naloxone StrategyOffer wound care assessment and basic wound dressing to service users.Utilise psychosocial intervention, including Integrated Test and Evaluation Plans, in both one-to-one and group settings.
Essential Qualifications and ExperienceCurrent NMC registrationPrevious solid experience working as a substance misuse nurseStrong communication and teamwork skills
