The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

About the Role
Our client, a leading engineering organisation, is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Bridgwater. This role sits within a highly regulated environment, supporting industrial services and engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
Manage commercial activities across site operations
Ensure timely submission of Early Warning Notices (EWNs), Compensation Events (CEs), and contractual notifications
Maintain accurate contract registers and records
Prepare quotations for Compensation Events (CEs)
Support drafting and negotiation of subcontracts
Assist with applications for payment, valuations, and invoicing processes
Administer subcontractor and supplier contracts
Support review and certification of subcontractor accounts
Contribute to contract programme preparation and monitoring.
✅ Essential Requirements
Post-graduate experience as a Quantity Surveyor
HNC / Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
Valid site certification: CCNSG or CSCS MAPS or CSCS Operative card
Desirable Experience
Knowledge of NEC3 / NEC4 contracts
Experience with main contractor or subcontractor organisations
Background in industrial services, engineering, or regulated sectors
Demonstrated experience in risk and change management
Membership of a professional body (e.g., RICS)
