How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

You will be working collaboratively across teams to deliver detailed electrical designs from concept through to final customer sign-off, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

This is a technically varied and hands-on role ideal for someone with experience in machinery, panels, or high-power electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Translate customer specifications into electrical definitions and technical documentation.
Design and produce electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts using AutoCAD 2D and SolidWorks Electrical
Select and specify components including contactors, switches, PLCs (e.g., Siemens LOGO), and safety circuits.
Perform engineering calculations including short-circuit, voltage drop, earth withstand, and power loss assessments.
Collaborate with mechanical and systems teams for full product integration.
Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical drawings.
Support customer-witnessed testing and ensure design meets industry regulations such as the Machinery Directive, BS, and ISO standards.
Engage with vendors and suppliers to support prototyping and component sourcing.
Qualifications & Experience:

Proven ability to create and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Proficient with AutoCAD 2D; experience with SolidWorks Electrical is a bonus.
Background in machinery, control panels, site infrastructure, or power systems.
Understanding of both low- and high-voltage electrical design.
Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering preferred, but not essential.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a relevant design environment.
Strong communication skills, team-oriented, and customer-focused.
Competent in Microsoft Office and understanding of BOM structures.
The Benefits:

Salary up to £60,000 (DOE)
25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
7% employer pension contribution
Company Sick Pay
On-site parking
Employee discount scheme
Flexible working hours
Supportive onboarding and product training
