An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established specialist construction subcontractor as a Trainee Estimator.
This role would suit a recent Quantity Surveying or Construction-related graduate who is looking to build a long-term career in estimating, commercial management, and specialist subcontracting.
You will receive full training and support from an experienced commercial team, learning how to review drawings, prepare tenders, price works, liaise with suppliers and subcontractors, and support the business in securing new projects.
The role will involve:
* Assisting with the preparation of estimates and tender submissions
* Reviewing drawings, specifications, and project documents
* Measuring quantities and preparing cost breakdowns
* Liaising with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams
* Learning how to price specialist subcontract packages
* Supporting the commercial team throughout the tender process
The ideal candidate will have:
* A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related subject
* Strong attention to detail and good numerical skills
* A genuine interest in construction and estimating
* Good communication and organisational skills
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn
