Berrys is now looking to grow its commercial agency presence in North Northamptonshire, and this role is the vehicle for that expansion.

The Role
This is a business development mandate: to build a commercial agency desk focused on industrial units in the 50,000 to 100,000 sq ft range across North Northamptonshire, generating new instructions and establishing Berrys as a credible force in that market.

The commercial agency function in Kettering has historically operated in high street retail and smaller units. The business is ready to move into larger industrial stock, and this role carries the responsibility for making that happen.

The expectation is proactive outreach to occupiers and landowners, building relationships and piecing together deals ahead of formal instruction.

The longer-term trajectory is clear: grow the desk to a point where progression to partnership, or a meaningful profit-share arrangement, becomes the natural next step. Berrys is developing a performance-linked earnings structure to ensure that contribution of this kind is rewarded in a tangible way.

Key Responsibilities
Proactive business development, cold outreach, door-knocking and relationship building with occupiers and landowners
Handling commercial agency instructions for industrial units in the (phone number removed) sq ft range
Maintaining and growing Berrys’ board presence and marketing profile in the Kettering and North Northamptonshire market Candidate Profile
You are a commercially driven agency professional ready to build a market position, not simply service one.

Proactive, assertive business development mindset, with the ability and willingness to generate new instructions rather than wait for inbound work
Commercial agency experience (any property sector considered if the individual has the right drive and relationship-building capability)
Experience in industrial agency, ideally in the (phone number removed) sq ft range
Existing relationships with occupiers, landowners and institutional investors in the Midlands and East Midlands
MRICS qualified (professional qualification noted as a positive)
Positioned at Associate Partner level or equivalent seniority, broadly up to circa five years post-qualification
Local market knowledge of North Northamptonshire and the East Midlands
