The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are seeking a team of Acoustic Tilers for on-going work in Devonport, Plymouth . Immediate starts available.
This role requires a SC clearance which will need to be obtained however we can consider candidates with BPSS.
Requirements:
Carry out acoustic tiling duties in line with project specifications, training, and safety standards
Follow all Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and complete POWRA assessments prior to work
Ensure correct PPE is worn and maintain a safe working environment at all times
Support safe execution of work by adhering to company procedures, emergency instructions, and "T Card" processes
Operate tools and equipment safely, including hand tools and specialist mechanical equipment (e.g. vacuum systems, mixers )
Conduct pre-use equipment checks and report any defects promptly
Minimise material wastage and ensure efficient use of resources - Comply with QA/QC and DefStan requirements, including accurate recording of materials and batch numbers
Monitor and support environmental controls and readings in line with project requirements
What you will bring:
Proven experience in acoustic tiling
Defence Standard 08-121 Issue 3 Method 2 Acoustic Tiling certificate is preferred but training will be provided to requalify
Strong understanding of health and safety practices within a site environment
Flexible and adaptable approach to changing work demands
Awareness of quality standards and environmental considerations
