The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business based in Luton. This is a hands-on, all-round maintenance role suited to someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in keeping a site running smoothly. You'll be involved in day-to-day reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance, and general upkeep of plant, equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
Carry out day-to-day maintenance and repairs across plant, machinery and site facilities
Respond to breakdowns and fault-find to get equipment back up and running with minimal downtime
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules to keep equipment in good working order
Assist with the installation of new equipment when required
Support minor project and improvement work as directed
Keep basic maintenance records and logs up to date
Carry out work in line with health and safety procedures at all times
Liaise with contractors and suppliers when specialist support is needed
Maintain a clean, safe and tidy working environment
Cover and support colleagues where needed and contribute positively to the team
About You
Essential:
Some previous experience working in a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment
Practical, hands-on approach with good all-round maintenance skills
Ability to fault-find and problem-solve on a variety of equipment
Good communication skills and a reliable, flexible attitude
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a teamDesirable:
Experience with planned preventative maintenance
Familiarity with pneumatic, hydraulic or mechanical systems
Basic understanding of health and safety practices in a manufacturing setting
