TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist setting in Weston-super-Mare that supports children and young people aged 4 to 18 with complex barriers to learning. The setting delivers a personalised, rich and creative education, with a child-centred approach focused on building self-esteem, personal development and helping pupils become valued members of their community.
The setting is looking to take on a full-time LSA on a temporary basis from September. The successful LSA will support pupils with moderate learning difficulties / MLD and associated needs including mild-to-moderate Autism / ASD, ADHD and Speech, Language and Communication Needs / SLCN, providing tailored support while helping pupils with their learning, emotional regulation and personal development.
The successful LSA will have:
Experience supporting children or young people with additional learning needs
Experience supporting pupils with MLD, Autism / ASD, ADHD and/or SLCN
A patient and child-centred approach
Strong communication skills
The ability to support emotional regulation and personal development
A flexible and adaptable approach to supporting individual needs
