Tallgrass Recruitment are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 Shunter Drivers on behalf of a leading client within the food production industry based in Peterborough.
This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for ongoing, long-term work with fixed shift patterns and immediate starts available.
Available Shifts
* 14:00 – 22:00
* 22:00 – 06:00
All shifts are 8 hours per day.
The Role
* Shunting Class 1 vehicles and trailers around a busy customer site
* Moving trailers safely between loading bays and designated parking areas
* Liaising with warehouse and transport teams to ensure smooth site operations
* Completing vehicle checks and reporting any defects
* Adhering to all site health and safety procedures
* Maintaining a professional and safety-focused approach at all times
Please note that this role involves manual duties in addition to shunting responsibilities and applicants must be comfortable carrying out physical work when required.

Requirements
* Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
* Valid CPC Qualification
* Digital Tachograph Card
* Previous Class 1 driving experience
* Previous shunting experience preferred but not essential
* Maximum of 6 penalty points
* Good understanding of site safety procedures and vehicle movements
