We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Construction Tutor / Instructor to join a supportive Alternative Provision setting from September 2026. This is a full-time, ongoing position teaching BTEC Level 1 Construction to secondary-aged pupils.
This rewarding role offers the opportunity to engage and inspire students who benefit from a more tailored approach to education, helping them develop valuable practical skills and pathways into future employment.
The Role:

Deliver BTEC Level 1 Construction to secondary-aged students

Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons
*
Support students with varying educational and behavioural needs
*
Create a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment
*
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback
*
Encourage students to develop confidence, employability skills and a passion for construction
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

A strong background within the construction industry
*
Experience teaching, tutoring, training or mentoring young people (desirable but not essential)
*
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
*
The ability to build positive relationships with students
*
A patient, resilient and proactive approach
*
A commitment to helping young people succeed both academically and personally
