The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The Accountancy & Finance Division at The ONE Group is currently recruiting for an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join a growing Group multi-entity Finance team. This role offers broad exposure across management accounts, month-end reporting, reconciliations, cash reporting and audit support, with the opportunity to develop your accounting knowledge and take on greater responsibility over time.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and post journals, accruals and prepayments.
* Support month-end close and the preparation of management accounts schedules.
* Complete balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving reconciling items.
* Maintain accurate bank postings, cashbooks and supporting financial records.
* Assist with daily cash reporting and updates to the Group cash flow model.
* Support intercompany reconciliations across multiple Group entities.
* Provide information and schedules to support Group reporting and consolidation.
* Prepare supporting documentation and schedules for external audit.
* Respond to routine accounting and audit queries.
* Maintain clear, accurate and review-ready working papers and audit trails.
* Support improvements and standardisation across finance processes and controls.
* Work across different entities, ledgers and finance processes as part of a shared-service environment.
* Support the integration of newly acquired entities into established finance processes where required.
Skills & Experience Required
* AAT currently studying or qualified or studying ACCA or CIMA
* Sound understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and core accounting principles.
* Strong balance sheet reconciliation experience.
* Experience preparing or posting journals, accruals and prepayments.
* Good Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
* Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
* Ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve routine accounting queries.
* Willingness to learn, develop and take on increasing responsibility.
Desirable
* Experience within a multi-entity or Group Finance environment.
* Exposure to management accounts and month-end reporting.
* Intercompany reconciliation experience.
