About the Opportunity

Harbourne Associates are supporting a leading retail business in the professional beauty and consumer sector with the appointment of a Store Manager in Abingdon.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced retail leader to take full ownership of an established store, leading a motivated team while driving commercial performance, customer experience and operational excellence.

You'll play a key role in delivering sales growth, developing talent and creating an engaging environment for both customers and colleagues.

The Role

As Store Manager, you'll be responsible for leading all aspects of store performance, ensuring high standards of customer service, team engagement and operational compliance.

You'll be empowered to identify opportunities to grow sales, build local relationships and create a positive and commercially successful store culture.

The store operates:

* Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 5:30pm

* Saturday: 8:30am – 2:30pm

* Sunday: Closed

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing store team.

• Drive store sales and deliver against commercial targets.

• Identify opportunities to grow customer acquisition and sales performance.

• Recruit, develop and retain talent within the team.

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience at all times.

• Monitor competitor activity and local market trends.

• Ensure high standards of stock management and inventory control.

• Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures and health & safety requirements.

What We're Looking For

• Previous Store Manager, Assistant Manager or Retail Management experience.

• Proven experience managing and motivating a high-performing team.

• A strong commercial mindset with experience delivering against sales targets.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

• Passion for customer service and retail excellence.

• Ability to coach, develop and inspire others.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.

Desirable

• Hair, beauty or cosmetics industry experience.

• Retail qualifications.

• Customer service qualifications.
