How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Graduate / Trainee – Technical Parts Advisor

    An excellent opportunity for a Graduate or Trainee to develop a career in a technical, office-based role with an international CNC machinery manufacturer.

    This is a technical support and parts role, not a design position, ideal for someone with a mechanical or engineering background who enjoys problem-solving and working with customers.

    Full product training and ongoing development will be provided.

    About You

    You should have a Degree, HND or equivalent in: Mechanical Engineering, Automotive or Motorsport' Manufacturing Engineering or another relevant technical subject.

    You will have good written and verbal communication skills and a basic understanding of mechanical machinery, including gears, chains, drives and mechanical components.

    A practical, hands-on background and genuine interest in machinery are important.

    The Role

    As a Technical Parts Advisor / Service Administrator, you will join the After Sales team supporting customers using professional CNC machinery and machine tools.

    Key responsibilities include:

    Providing technical support by phone and email.

    Identifying and sourcing spare parts using manuals, drawings and databases.

    Preparing quotations and processing orders.

    Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers to source parts and track deliveries.

    Supporting Field Service Engineers with parts recommendations.

    Managing warranty claims, returns and service documentation.

    Maintaining stock records and supporting inventory control.

    What We're Looking For

    Ideally, you will have:

    A good understanding of machinery and mechanical components.

    The ability to read technical drawings and manuals.

    Strong communication and organisational skills.

    A practical, problem-solving approach.

    A willingness to learn and develop specialist product knowledge.

    Full product training will be provided.
