TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of welcoming mainstream primary schools across Cardiff who are looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant. These schools provide supportive and inclusive learning environments where every child is encouraged to grow in confidence, develop a love of learning and reach their full potential.
The schools are looking to take on a flexible Teaching Assistant on a temporary basis from September 2026, with long-term opportunities available for the right Teaching Assistant. The successful Teaching Assistant will support pupils across KS1 and KS2, working alongside class teachers to deliver engaging learning activities, provide classroom support and help pupils thrive both academically and socially.
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
• Experience working with primary school children
• A proactive and flexible approach to supporting teaching and learning
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A warm, understanding and adaptable approach to supporting children
• An additional passion for the arts, science or literature is desirable
