Simply Education is currently recruiting a passionate, dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to work in a range of welcoming and supportive secondary schools in Chester. We have opportunities available for daily supply, short-term cover, and long-term placements.
This role would suit both experienced teachers and ECTs who are confident delivering engaging English Language & Literature lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum
Differentiate learning to support students of all abilities
Prepare students effectively for GCSE examinations
Mark and assess work in line with school policies (for long-term roles)
Maintain excellent classroom behaviour and a positive learning environment
Contribute to departmental planning and wider school life where required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
QTS, QTLS or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification
Recent experience teaching at secondary level
Strong subject knowledge and curriculum understanding
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
A proactive and flexible approach
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
