The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We’re currently working on an exciting project in Harpenden with a major UK infrastructure contractor and are looking to speak with an experienced Site Engineer who has a strong background in reinforced concrete (RC) frame construction.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer who enjoys being hands-on, working closely with site teams and taking responsibility for the technical delivery of a major project.
The Role
As Site Engineer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of the works on site. You’ll be working alongside an experienced project team, ensuring construction activities are delivered accurately, safely and in line with the required specifications.
We’re particularly interested in engineers with a solid RC frame background, ideally with experience across structural concrete, setting out and associated civil engineering works.
Your responsibilities are likely to include:
* Setting out and surveying for RC and associated construction works.
* Producing and maintaining accurate site records.
* Checking works against drawings, specifications and design information.
* Supporting the site management team with technical queries and problem-solving.
* Working closely with subcontractors and site operatives to ensure works are delivered correctly.
* Monitoring quality and ensuring construction tolerances are achieved.
* Assisting with inspections, ITPs and quality documentation.
* Liaising with the wider engineering and project management teams.
* Providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
What We're Looking For
We’re keen to hear from Site Engineers with genuine RC frame experience who can step onto a busy project and make an immediate impact.
You’ll ideally have:
* Strong previous experience as a Site Engineer.
* A proven background working on reinforced concrete / RC frame projects.
* Strong setting-out and engineering capabilities.
* Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with site teams.
* A proactive approach and the confidence to operate independently when required.
* Relevant construction qualifications and site experience.
