Controls Engineer required by well-established specialist engineering company!
This is a key role designing, programming and commissioning bespoke industrial automation and machinery control systems, working on varied projects from initial design through to installation and commissioning.
Essential:
* Strong commercial experience designing and programming complex industrial control systems from the ground up
* Extensive Allen-Bradley ControlLogix / Studio 5000 PLC programming experience
* Siemens S7 / TIA Portal programming experience highly desirable
* HMI and SCADA software development experience
* Industrial network programming including Ethernet/IP and PROFINET
* Proven experience within automated machinery / manufacturing environments
* Installation and commissioning experience
* Able to work directly with customers and take technical ownership of projects
* Willing and able to travel internationally, including North America
* Full UK driving licence
* Must be within commutable distance of Cheltenham/Tewkesbury or willing to relocate
Nice-to-have:
* FANUC or other industrial robotics experience, or a genuine interest in developing robotics skills
* EPLAN electrical design
* Machine vision systems
* Project management / technical leadership experience
