The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
Job Title: Site Manager (QA & Snagging) – (Immediate Start)
Location: Kettering
Duration: Initial 6 week contract with potential extension
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to support our Kettering project on an immediate basis.
This role requires someone who can take ownership of the QA and snagging process from start to finish. We are looking for a proactive individual with a strong understanding of construction detailing, quality assurance procedures, and finishing works—not someone who simply identifies defects, but someone who can manage the entire close-out process.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the project QA and snagging process.
* Inspect completed works to ensure they meet the required quality standards.
* Liaise with subcontractors to coordinate and drive the timely close-out of defects.
* Verify completed remedial works prior to sign-off.
* Maintain accurate QA and snagging records.
* Quickly familiarise yourself with ongoing office fit-out works and project changes.
* From the end of the month, provide cover for the Main Site Manager during annual leave, taking responsibility for the office package and ensuring continuity of progress.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial or industrial construction projects.
* Strong knowledge of QA processes, construction detailing, and finishing standards.
* Experience managing subcontractors and driving quality improvements.
* Ability to work independently and take ownership of project delivery.
* SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certification (essential).
* Available to start immediately.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager who is confident managing both quality assurance and live construction activities, ensuring works are delivered to the highest standard and programme.
If you have the relevant experience and are available immediately, we'd like to hear from you
