The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 pupil at a welcoming primary school in the Howden area. This is a full-time position commencing in September and continuing until Christmas 2026. Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil, helping them to access learning and achieve their full potential.
Support the delivery of engaging and age-appropriate learning activities across the primary curriculum.
Help create a nurturing, stimulating, and safe learning environment that encourages confidence, independence, and progress.
Assist with the pupil's personal, social, emotional, and educational development through targeted support and encouragement.
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other school staff to implement support strategies and contribute to the pupil's ongoing development and progress.
Requirements:
Relevant Teaching Assistant or childcare qualification (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent). Level 3 is desirable.
Previous experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient, caring, and adaptable approach.
A genuine passion for helping children succeed and reach their individual goals.
Good understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, safeguarding procedures, and child protection practices.
