Class Mate is recruiting a full-time 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil within Key Stage 2 at a welcoming and supportive primary school in NG5, starting immediately.
The Role
• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a KS2 pupil with additional needs
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs and support progress
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies
• Support the pupil’s academic, social and emotional development
• Help maintain a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
• Experience working with children with SEN, particularly in a primary setting
• Strong understanding of supporting additional needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH)
• Patient, nurturing and able to build strong relationships
• Confident supporting behaviour and emotional regulation
• Committed to making a positive impact on a child’s development
Requirements
• Previous experience working within a UK school or SEN setting
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Ability to provide two professional references
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 TA) desirable but not essential
