We're looking for a compassionate and reliable Healthcare Assistant to join our dedicated team supporting a young person with complex healthcare needs in Newcastle upon Tyne.
This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference by providing person-centred care at home, during school transport, and out in the local community. As a Healthcare Assistant, you'll play an important role in promoting independence while supporting daily routines and helping them enjoy meaningful activities.
During term time, you'll begin your shift at the family home, assisting with personal care, medication and clinical tasks before accompanying the client on the school bus. Once they have safely arrived at school, you'll return home. Afternoon shifts involve travelling back to school on the bus, supporting the journey home and assisting with activities at home or within the community.
During school holidays, your role as a Healthcare Assistant will focus on supporting community outings, social activities and helping the client remain active, engaged and involved in the things they enjoy.
Alongside providing high-quality personal care, you'll support a range of complex clinical needs including medication administration, epilepsy management, PEG feeding and suctioning.
Full, client-specific clinical training will be provided by our experienced in-house team.

* Minimum 3 months' paid UK care experience
* Full UK driving licence
* A caring, compassionate and reliable approach
