The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Second in Charge of Mathematics to join our successful and forward-thinking Mathematics department in a thriving secondary school. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding classroom practitioner with a passion for raising achievement and supporting curriculum development within a high-performing team.
Working closely with the Head of Mathematics, you will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the department, driving standards, and ensuring excellent outcomes for students across Key Stages 3, 4 and, where applicable, Key Stage 5.
The Role
As Second in Charge of Mathematics, you will:
* Support the leadership and day-to-day management of the Mathematics department
* Deliver engaging and high-quality Mathematics lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
* Assist in curriculum planning, assessment, and departmental improvement strategies
* Monitor student progress and contribute to raising attainment and achievement
* Support and mentor colleagues, including ECTs and less experienced teachers
* Promote a culture of high expectations, inclusion, and academic excellence
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* A degree in Mathematics or a related subject
* Proven experience teaching Mathematics in a secondary school setting
* A strong track record of excellent classroom practice and student outcomes
* Leadership potential or previous middle leadership experience within a department
* Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
* A commitment to continuous professional development and whole-school improvement
