Location: Central London (Hybrid – 4 days office, 1 day home)
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Payroll Administrator to join a busy in-house payroll team supporting the payroll for approximately 2,550 UK employees. Working alongside the Payroll Supervisor and Senior Payroll team, you'll play a key role in delivering an accurate and compliant monthly payroll while gaining exposure to payroll projects and system improvements.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the end-to-end monthly payroll process for approximately 2,550 employees
* Process starters, leavers, contractual changes, statutory payments, tax codes and court orders
* Maintain payroll and employee records, ensuring GDPR compliance
* Respond to payroll queries from employees and managers via phone and email
* Update time and attendance systems and support employee self-service platforms
* Assist with payroll reporting, employment references, payroll documentation and HRIS testing
* Support the Payroll Manager and wider payroll team with ongoing projects and continuous improvements
Ideal Candidate
* Previous payroll administration experience with strong end-to-end payroll knowledge
* Good understanding of UK payroll legislation, RTI, statutory payments and auto-enrolment
* Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills with excellent attention to detail
* Confident analysing payroll data and resolving payroll queries
* Able to work accurately under pressure and meet monthly payroll deadlines
* Strong communication skills with a proactive and team-focused approach
* Experience with iTrent would be advantageous
* CIPP qualification (or working towards one) is beneficial but not essential
