Contract Opportunity – Configuration Controller

We’re supporting the search for an experienced Configuration Controller to join a fast-paced engineering environment on a contract basis in Bristol.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering robust configuration management across complex projects, ensuring compliance, quality, and effective change control.
The Role
Reporting to the Configuration Control & PLM Manager, you will take ownership of configuration management activities across the full engineering lifecycle.
You’ll work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure engineering data, documentation, and change processes are effectively managed and controlled.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate configuration item data and produce configuration status reports
- Ensure adherence to configuration control processes and support internal/external audits
- Capture and manage hardware and software build standards
- Control engineering documentation and project deliverables
- Manage engineering change processes (ECRs, product tracking, etc.)
- Facilitate Change Control Board (CCB) meetings and drive stakeholder engagement
- Provide reporting to support project delivery and continuous improvement
- Administer and enhance Siemens Teamcenter (PLM)
- Contribute to Configuration Management Plans for bids and projects
- Deliver training to engineers and stakeholders on CM processes
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in configuration control or change management
- Background in multi-disciplinary engineering environments (hardware & software)
- Experience managing documentation, baselines, and engineering changes
- Familiarity with PLM systems – Teamcenter preferred
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-changing environment
