We are recruiting for an Operations Coordinator to join a successful and well established business within the fire protection and security industry.
This is a varied and hands on position where you will play a key part in the day to day running of the Operations team. You will be responsible for coordinating engineers, speaking with customers, managing schedules and ensuring jobs are planned as efficiently as possible.
Alongside scheduling and customer service, you will also support with stock management, operational administration and reporting, making this a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and taking ownership of their workload.
Key Responsibilities
- Pro actively contacting existing customers via telephone and email to arrange and confirm routine servicing, maintenance and call out appointments
- Coordinating and scheduling field engineers using the company's internal job management system
- Planning engineers' diaries geographically to maximise productivity and minimise unnecessary travel
- Providing customers with appointment confirmations, service reminders and general support via telephone and email
- Acting as a key point of contact for engineers and customers throughout the working day
- Managing stock levels and supporting the day to day control of fire safety and security equipment
- Coordinating incoming and outgoing goods and ensuring engineers have the equipment required for scheduled jobs
- Maintaining an organised, safe and efficient stock and warehouse area
- Maintaining accurate records, tasks and notes within the company CRM system
- Producing regular updates and reports relating to scheduling, work progress, stock levels and operational performance
What We're Looking For
·The successful candidate will be a confident communicator with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
·You will ideally have experience within a coordination, scheduling, operations or customer service focused role and be comfortable speaking with customers throughout the day.
·Experience with stock control, inventory management or warehouse processes would be advantageous, alongside good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office, Excel, CRM or job management systems.
·Most importantly, you will be proactive, commercially aware, highly organised and someone who genuinely enjoys providing an excellent level of service.
