Maintenance Operative

We’re looking for a maintenance operative to join our team!
As a maintenance operative here at Beyond Housing, you'll support the delivery of one of our ambitious objectives - to provide affordable homes where people feel safe and secure.
Working within our customers’ homes you will diagnose and carry out repairs and maintenance work associated with all aspects of roofing, You will work to a high standard and aim to achieve first-time-fixes where possible.
The skills, knowledge and experience you will bring to the team include:
• Being an effective communicator with a professional and customer focused attitude
• Having proven experience in this role
• Being able to undertake basic tasks in additional trades to a good standard to enable first-time-fix
• Being competent in use of both hand and power tools
• Being able to work unsupervised and on own initiative
• Being able to recognise problems and make decisions
• Competent with the use of information technology, i.e. PDA or tablet device
• Having good general knowledge of health & safety
In this role, you'll work as part of the complex repairs team, whose goal is to ensure our customers’ homes are free from damp and mould, pest infestations, and any issues of disrepair.
