Veritas Education is working with a primary school in Blackburn seeking a reliable and proactive Site Supervisor to support the day-to-day running of the school premises.
This role involves overseeing the upkeep, safety, and general maintenance of the school site, ensuring a clean, secure, and well-managed environment for pupils and staff. It is well-suited to someone who is hands-on, organised, and confident working independently.
Applicants should have:
Experience in a caretaking, site supervisor, or maintenance role
A good understanding of health and safety procedures
Strong practical skills for basic maintenance and repairs
The ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively
A reliable, proactive, and flexible approach
Good communication skills to liaise with staff and external contractorsThe role will include opening the school in the morning and securing the site at the end of the school day, carrying out general maintenance and repairs, monitoring health and safety checks, supporting contractors on site, and assisting with the setup of rooms and school events when required.
Safeguarding & Application Requirements:
All applicants will undergo an Enhanced DBS Check, reference checks, and any necessary overseas police clearances (if applicable) in line with safeguarding policies.
