The Role – SEND Teaching Assistant – Blackburn, Lancashire
As an SEND Teaching Assistant – Blackburn, Lancashire, you will be supporting pupils within an Early Years setting on a 1:1 basis. This SEND Teaching Assistant – Blackburn, Lancashire role will involve working closely with children who have additional needs, including non-verbal pupils with autism and speech and language difficulties.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with SEND in Key Stage 1
Supporting non-verbal pupils, including those with autism and speech, language and communication needs
Assisting with the delivery of tailored learning activities and interventions
Promoting engagement, independence and emotional wellbeing
Working collaboratively with class teachers and the wider SEND team
