The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We’re working with an established precision engineering business in Cambridgeshire that is looking to appoint a hands-on Quality Manager to lead its quality and inspection function.
The business manufactures complex, high-precision components for customers across a range of demanding industries, including aerospace, space, medical, life sciences, scientific instrumentation and other advanced technology sectors.
This is a key role within the business, taking responsibility for the Quality function and leading an experienced inspection team, with a Quality Supervisor already in place.
You’ll be responsible for maintaining high-quality standards across the business, resolving issues, improving processes and ensuring the Quality function continues to support the demands of a busy precision manufacturing environment.
What you’ll be doing:

Leading and developing the Quality and Inspection team, including managing the Quality Supervisor

Taking ownership of quality issues, non-conformances, root cause investigations and corrective actions
*
Driving improvements across quality processes, procedures and standards
*
Maintaining quality standards and ensuring processes and procedures are being followed effectively
What we’re looking for:

Previous experience within Quality in a precision engineering or CNC machining environment
*
Experience leading or managing a Quality/Inspection team
*
Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances and precision component inspection
*
A hands-on approach with the ability to lead the Quality function and drive continuous improvement
