We are looking for a reliable and hardworking School Cleaner to join the site team on a part-time basis. This role is for 10 hours per week, working Monday to Friday, 3:30pm – 5:30pm, and is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous cleaning experience who takes pride in maintaining a clean and safe environment for staff and pupils.
The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring designated areas of the school are cleaned to a high standard, maintaining hygiene throughout the premises and supporting the school in providing a safe and welcoming environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices and communal areas
Vacuuming, mopping and dusting designated areas
Cleaning toilets and replenishing hygiene supplies
Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
Ensuring all cleaning equipment is used safely and stored correctly
Reporting any maintenance or health and safety concerns
Working independently to complete daily cleaning schedules
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the schoolThe Ideal Candidate Will:
Have previous cleaning experience, ideally within a school, commercial or public sector setting
Be reliable, punctual and able to work independently
Take pride in maintaining high cleaning standards
Have a good understanding of health and safety and the safe use of cleaning products
Be able to manage their workload effectively and work with minimal supervisionWhat to Expect from Applicants:
We are looking for applicants with previous cleaning experience. Experience working within a school environment is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will be dependable, hardworking and committed to maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic environment for pupils and staff.
