Experienced CNC Setter/Programmer? Ready to take your skills to the next level?

We’re looking for an experienced CNC Process Engineer / Setter-Programmer to join an established and successful business.

Despite difficult economic headwinds, we are bucking the trend and have full order books, which is enabling us to offer you a bright, long-term future

This is a hands-on technical role combining CNC setting and programming with process engineering, tooling, optimisation and continuous improvement.

If you enjoy solving machining challenges, improving processes and getting the very best from CNC equipment, this could be a great opportunity.

Commutable from Birmingham, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Sutton Coldfield, Minworth, Wombourne, Brierly Hill, Rowley Regis, Dudley, Harbourne, Bloxwich and Aldridge

Duties

* Set and program CNC machines using FANUC and Mazak/Mazatronic controls

* Develop, modify and optimise CNC machining programmes

* Improve cycle times, tooling, quality and machining processes

* Apply production/industrial engineering principles to machining methods

* Support the introduction of new products and processes

* Provide technical support to the wider machine shop

* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and process efficiency

Requirements

* Strong background in CNC machining

* Proven experience as a CNC Setter/Programmer

* Confident programming on FANUC and Mazatronic controls

* Strong CNC setting experience across a range of equipment

* Good understanding of machining methods, tooling and process optimisation

* Ideally, a background in Process Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Work Study

* A methodical, analytical and continuous-improvement mindset

* Someone who enjoys being hands-on and getting into the detail
