How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Plasterer with strong multi‑trade capabilities to join their property maintenance team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a trades professional who takes pride in delivering high‑quality plastering work while supporting a range of additional repairs across social housing properties. A company van and fuel card are provided as part of the role.

    About the Role

    As a Multi‑Trade Plasterer, you will carry out a wide variety of plastering repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment works in both occupied (tenanted) homes and void properties. You will work independently, ensuring all tasks are completed safely, professionally, and to a consistently high standard.

    Key ResponsibilitiesPlastering (Primary Skill)

    * Complete all aspects of plastering including skimming, bonding, patch repairs, boarding, rendering and finishing.

    * Prepare surfaces correctly and select appropriate materials and methods.

    * Make good after electrical or plumbing works.

    * Deliver high‑quality finishes with a focus on first‑time resolution.

    Skills, Experience & QualificationsEssential

    * Proven experience as a plasterer in domestic or social housing settings.

    * Strong skills in skimming, patching and boarding.

    * Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.

    * Good communication and customer service skills.

    * Full UK driving licence.

    * Awareness of safeguarding and working with vulnerable residents.

    Desirable

    * NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Plastering or other trades.

    * Experience working for a housing association, council or maintenance contractor.

    * Multi‑trade skills including tiling, plumbing, carpentry and minor decorating.

    * Asbestos Awareness (UKATA).
