The Role
As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving site performance through a combination of planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance and project-based engineering activities.
Working closely with production and operational teams, you will help maximise equipment reliability, minimise downtime and support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
This is a genuinely multi-skilled position with a balanced mechanical and electrical focus, offering excellent variety and exposure across a busy manufacturing operation.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance activities.

Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete effective fault finding and repairs.
*
Diagnose and resolve both mechanical and electrical faults.
*
Support engineering projects and site improvement initiatives.
*
Assist with equipment installations, upgrades and modifications.
*
Drive continuous improvement activities to improve reliability and efficiency.
*
Maintain accurate engineering records and maintenance documentation.
*
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety standards.
*
Work collaboratively with production teams to support operational performance.
Candidate Requirements
We are keen to speak with engineers who possess strong practical engineering skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
You will ideally have:
*Experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or similar.
*A balanced mechanical and electrical skillset.
*A recognised engineering qualification (Mechanical or Electrical).
*Time-served apprenticeship and/or strong hands-on engineering experience.
*Previous experience within manufacturing, FMCG, packaging, processing or a similar production environment.
*Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
*Experience supporting continuous improvement activities and engineering projects.
*A positive, team-focused attitude and a desire to contribute to a growing business.
