Role Summary:

The Sales Associate plays an important role in generating high-quality leads for both new business and upsell opportunities. This position offers hands-on exposure to the full sales cycle and provides structured development for individuals looking to build a long-term career in enterprise sales. You will learn from experienced sales professionals, develop core commercial skills, and contribute directly to GTT’s revenue growth.


Job Scope/Supervision:

This role works closely with sales teams, sales support, order processing, sales engineering, marketing, and service delivery. You will also interact directly with customers and prospects to drive lead generation and support early-stage sales activity.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and qualify leads for new business and upsell opportunities through cold calling, targeted email outreach, events, and social selling.
  • Conduct research to identify key decision makers and understand client needs and industry context.
  • Engage prospects to uncover challenges and position GTT solutions with clarity and confidence.
  • Schedule meetings with qualified leads and shadow sales calls to learn best practices from senior team members.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all outreach and lead generation activities in the CRM.
  • Work closely with marketing to optimise campaign performance and messaging.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly lead generation targets.
  • Support the creation of account plans, opportunity plans, and pipeline development.
  • Research market trends, competitor offerings, and pricing to help inform go-to-market strategy.
  • Present GTT products and services to stakeholders while addressing questions and customer needs.
  • Support revenue generation through repeatable tasks such as quoting, proposal creation, forecasting, and general sales administration.


Required Experience/Qualifications:

  • Interest in global managed services and enthusiasm for a long-term career in enterprise sales.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Confident interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in collaborative environments.
  • Self-starter who can work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly accountable with a strong work ethic and a desire to succeed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.


Hours/Travel/Shift:

Monday-Friday office hours
