The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
Amentum is the Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield under the PPP (Programme and Project Partners). This is a 20-year arrangement to deliver ~£7bn of major projects. The Project
The SNM Analytical Project is progressing into a critical phase of delivery, and we are looking for a proactive and collaborative Area Engineering Manager to support the safe and efficient transition of design into construction delivery.
The Role
Based at our offices in Cumbria, as an Area Engineering Manager (AEM) you will act as the key engineering interface to the onsite construction team, ensuring engineering outputs are aligned, coordinated, and ready to build.
As a AEM some of your responsibilities could include:
* Leading engineering delivery for a defined SNM Analytical Project area, ensuring outputs are fully aligned with construction needs.
* Act as the day to day engineering interface for onsite construction teams, supporting issue resolution and enabling safe construction progress.
* Drive timely close out of technical queries, design changes, and construction clarifications.
* Support constructability reviews, build sequencing, and readiness assessments in line with PPP delivery practices.
* Maintain strong relationships across engineering, construction, safety, planning, and assurance teams.
As an AEM you will already have:
* Experience in engineering management on major infrastructure or highly regulated projects.
* Strong understanding of multi disciplinary engineering and its interface with construction.
* Confident communicator who builds positive, collaborative relationships.
* Delivery focused mindset with the ability to manage emerging issues at pace.
