You will be responsible for:
- Assessing HSE risks and provide professional advice to Duty Holders in accordance with legislation and site policies.
- Documenting and produce technical reports in support of advice on HSEQ matters.
- Review and update advice on current legislation alongside the site team.
- Drive establishment, monitoring, and review of an effective site safety/Construction Phase HSE plan.
- Conduct accident/incident investigations and report findings.
- Develop and deliver safety inductions and other identified HSE training for site personnel.
- Identify and address HSEQ issues, ensuring the safe delivery of the Programme/Project.
- Promote a safety-conscious attitude among all site personnel.
- Provide efficient and effective HSE support to the Site Manager.
- Assist in resolving routine HSEQ problems on site and ensure project HSEQ targets are met.
- Conduct inspections, observations, and assurance activities to identify performance gaps, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of HSE hazards and associated controls.
- Support the HSE Manager and Duty Holders in interactions with internal and external regulators.
- Mentor and support HSE role holders, ensuring the competence and HSEQ awareness of the workforce.
Role Specific expectations:
- Frontline HSEQ support as per responsibilities above
- Experience of practical and organisational control of Radiological risks on a nuclear licensed site.
- Act as Champion for internal company and client management systems within Business unit.
- Supervise and Support HSEQ on a portfolio of Decommissioning work fronts on a nuclear licensed site
- Clearly understand of the role of a Tier 1 Engineering provider, and Main/ Principal contractor in a CDM environment.
- Attend client site regularly, as required, to meet business and project delivery support needs.
- Migration and refinement of Management systems and processes, to align with project requirements.
- Conduct and support periodic HSEQ reporting and dashboards at and project or group of projects.
- Coordinate and liaise directly with all key stakeholder from client, JV partners, subcontractors to provide coherent control of work
