How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Salary: £25,947.47 per annum

We are recruiting to our Revenues & Benefits Service!

PSPS is looking for someone who can bring transferable and experience to our growing team. We are recruiting to 2 full time positions.

As a Case Management Officer within our Debt Recovery Team, you will play a key role in ensuring the prompt and efficient billing, collection, and recovery of Council Tax and Business Rates on behalf of our client councils.

You will be part of a dedicated team focused on maximising collection of council tax and business rates while supporting customers with additional advice, guidance, or income‑maximisation support to find sustainable and manageable solutions for customers.

Typical duties include:

* Communicating with customers using a range of accessible communication methods (e.g. phone, email, written correspondence) to provide advice, explanations, and clarification on decisions and actions.

* Agreeing payment arrangements that balance recovery with affordable and sustainable outcomes

* Providing tailored support where customers may be experiencing financial difficulty or vulnerability, including helping them access appropriate advice, guidance, or support services.

What you will need:

* Previous customer service experience in a debt management environment or supporting people in other similar areas

* GCSE C/4 or above in English and Maths
