The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We have been exclusively commissioned by a highly progressive and rapidly evolving fresh produce growing business to source an ambitious future leader for what is genuinely a rare opportunity within the sectors.
The plan?
First 6 months operating within the client’s UK growing business
Followed by a move to their operation in the stunning surroundings of southern Portugal
Full hands-on training and mentoring programme
Exposure to commercial growing operations across the UK and Europe
Long-term succession planning built into the role
And the ultimate aim?
Within 18 months–2 years, you will step directly into the executive structure of the business with responsibility for helping manage growing operations across both the UK and Europe.
This opportunity would suit:
* Ambitious growing professionals
* Assistant crop managers
* Trainee agronomists
* Horticulture graduates
* Fresh produce individuals wanting international exposure
Or someone who genuinely wants to build a long-term leadership career within commercial food production.
Importantly, this is not a business looking for a passenger.
They are looking to invest heavily into someone capable of becoming part of the future leadership of the organisation itself
