The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
EA Associates are working in partnership with a leading East Anglia-based Painting & Decorating contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee a portfolio of projects across the Cambridgeshire region.
This is a well-established business with a strong reputation across both residential and commercial sectors, delivering high-volume housebuilding schemes alongside commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects. Due to continued growth and a strong forward order book, they are now seeking a commercially aware and operationally strong Contracts Manager to join their team.
This is a hands-on role where you will take full responsibility for multiple live sites, managing projects from pre-start through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
* Overseeing multiple painting & decorating contracts across Cambridgeshire
* Managing Site Managers, Supervisors, and operatives across several live projects
* Programming works, managing labour, and ensuring projects run to schedule
* Ensuring all works are delivered in line with client specifications and quality expectations
* Attending client and progress meetings, maintaining strong relationships
* Monitoring project costs, margins, and performance
* Managing subcontractors and supply chain
* Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety regulations
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within Painting & Decorating or similar finishing trades
* Experience working on volume residential and/or commercial projects
* Strong leadership and organisational skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Good commercial awareness
